My name is Ellie Pope, and I’m the creator of Transforming Sex.

Professionally, I help people have breakthroughs in their lives and in their relationships. I also have a company called Wild Wiggle, where I offer classes in sex, intimacy, and connection.

I got into the sex coaching field by accident (I was an engineer before this), when an acquaintance asked me to help her open a sex shop in San Diego. I was horrified – what kind of woman did she think I was ?? Then I realized that I had a wee bit of judgement, and maybe I’d enjoy life more if I shifted that.

In the process, I discovered that sex is one of the most interesting areas for personal growth. As a personal growth area, it’s barely been touched. In fact, many transformational education companies have sexual harassment policies, which keep them from delving deeply into this area.

But like it or not, sex pervades our lives. It affects our closest relationships, from our marriages, to our kids (what parent hasn’t wondered what the best way is to have the “sex talk”?) and to our own parents. It’s also a place where we’re often cut off from real freedom – it can be difficult (and unpopular) to say what we really want, and many people choose to lie instead.

In some countries, sex is so constrained that people are executed for sexual choices, like adultery or homosexuality.

I’m committed that we create authentic sexual expression for all people by 2038. I believe sex can help people enjoy their lives more, bond more fully with their partner, and is even important to world peace. (Let’s face it, if we’re failing at being intimate with our lover, how can we expect to achieve peace with strangers?)

Ellie has been extensively trained in ontology, conventional coaching practices, energy work, spiritual sexuality and relationship coaching. She brings these disciplines together to support people to quickly make lasting changes in their lives.

Life Training
With a 10th-grade education, Ellie resigned from high school, and left home to discover the world on her own. She lived with little money, sometimes stealing food, and hitch-hiking to travel between cities. Ellie values the life lessons she got as a troubled teen as some of the most valuable of her life.

In her spare time, Ellie enjoys traveling, and is a perpetual learner. She has focused much of her travels in Asia, having spent 8 months solo-exploring from India to Indonesia, and has returned to Asia many times since then. She has also traveled in the Middle East, spent 6 months working in Haifa, Israel, and enjoyed many visits to Europe.

Other Training
Before developing a passionate interest in transforming sex, Ellie spent 11 years as an engineer designing land-line and satellite-cellular telecom systems. She holds a B.S in Computer Science.
